Checking your business plan

Find gaps and weak evidence for each review criteria item, and write the sentences yourself

Contents

Using the review criteria (evaluation items) of the program you're applying to, M looks with you for the parts of your plan that are missing or have weak evidence. It also asks, item by item, the questions a reviewer would likely ask.

  1. 1

    Tell M the program

First, say which program you're applying to. If you have the evaluation sheet from the call for applications, M goes through its items.

  2. 2

    Paste in items

Paste in one item at a time, starting with the one you're least sure about. You don't have to paste the whole plan at once.

  3. 3

    See the check card

Each item is marked Covered, Weak evidence, or Missing, and items that aren't covered come with questions a reviewer would likely ask.

  4. 4

    Fill it in yourself

Answer the questions, rewrite the sentences yourself, and send the revised version to check again.

M doesn't write the sentences for you

Writing it yourself is what lets you explain it in your pitch and Q&A, so M doesn't write or rewrite the sentences of your plan. It doesn't predict whether you'll pass either. File attachments aren't supported yet, so please paste in the content.
